Site Subscription FAQ

No - anyone can apply for an account.  Applications will be reviewed, and if approved, the account by default will have access to all the free material on the site.  If the account belongs to an organization that has an active subscription, the account will have access to the premium reports and articles on the site as well.

No - there is no licenses needed to use sqlReports or any other plugin from this site.   The subscription is not tied to the plugin but instead is a subscription to this web site in order to access premium reports and premium articles on the site.

Yes.

No - the organization you work for when you order the subscription is the owner of the subscription.  If you wish to use a subscription at your new job, your new organization must have the subscription.  If they haven't had a subscription before, they won't be able to purchase a new one since new subscriptions are no longer sold.  However, if they have an expired subscription, they would be eligible to renew it. 

Only if your business operates schools, such as charter schools.

No - Freund Resources is the sole provider and if a sole source letter is needed, please let Matt know when requesting a quote.

Yes - subscriptions are not sold to any organization that employs anyone who has violated the Terms of Use of the site, regardless of where they were working when the violation happened.

No - customers are not automatically billed for renewals.  Customers must request a quote if they wish to renew.

You can also check the Order Information page when you're logged in and see the information there.  The page will also list previous order information.

Yes - you will receive an email approximately two months prior to the expiration date, and if needed, another one month prior to the expiration date.  However, If your last payment was late, you will only receive the first email.  The emails will come from Matt's freundresources.com email address, so please make sure email from that email address and domain are not being blocked.  The date emails are sent will added to your Order Information page on this site, so if you see an email was sent, but you did not receive anything, please contact Matt.

No - you can renew at any time.

It depends on the the current number of active students.  Please see the Subscription Pricing page for current pricing.

No - the subscription does not automatically change any version of sqlReports that is installed.  If you need to update sqlReports, you'll need to download from this site the latest versions of sqlReports and install it.

Your subscription will expire and your account on this site will only have access to free reports and free articles.  Any plugins or reports from this site that you've added to your server will continue to work as is.  The subscription is only for the access level on this site and is not tied to the operation of any plugins or reports.   IMPORTANT:  you will still be bound by the Terms of Use of this site regarding anything you downloaded while the subscription was active.

Yes - you can renew an expired subscription at any time.  You will still be eligible for renewal pricing and the repeat customer discount. 

The subscription will start on the day a copy of a Purchase Order (PO) is received - or if there's no PO, when payment is received based on the requirements of the quote - and run for one year.   If a PO is post dated, the subscription will start on the date posted on the PO.

No - however, a PO is a binding agreement to pay, so in the absence of a PO, a subscription will not renew until payment is received.   You can request an invoice be sent based on the quote, but make sure your organization accepts invoices without a PO in place. 

Freund Resources accepts various payment methods and does not charge any processing fees for the payment methods.  The payment methods are listed in more detail in the quote.

In some states, schools are expected to pay sales tax on any purchase.  For a long time, remote sellers, which are sellers not located in the customer's state, did not have to collect sales tax when selling a product online.  However, that changed a few years ago, and some states now require remote sellers of online products to collect sales tax provied they meet a set of minimum requirements.  When a customer requests a quote and mentions they aren't exempt from state sales tax, Freund Resources checks on the state requirements regarding remote sellers of online products.  If the minimum requirements are not met, the statement that Freund Resources does not meet the requirements is included on the quote (and any invoice) to explain why sales tax is not included.

Yes - the Refund Policy page under the Subscription menu has more details.  The page is only available to those with an account on the site.
